- DEADLINE EXTENDED: Submit a high school application by December 5. The high school application is how you apply to most of NYC's 700+ program options. This application is for students entering ninth grade in fall 2023 (or interested students entering tenth grade, for programs with tenth grade seats). On this application you can list 12 program choices in your order of preference. Some programs may have additional requirements, such as an audition or assessment, and some programs consider students' academic records in admissions.

You can submit your high school application and LaGuardia application in one of three ways:
- Online with MySchools.nyc(Open external link) ––recommended! With this option, you can apply 24 hours a day through 11:59pm on December 5. Your high school welcome letter contains a unique account creation code that you can use to create a MySchools account(Open external link) (if you don't already have one) and access your personalized search and applications.
- If your child currently attends a NYC public school (DOE or charter), you can work with your child's current school to receive a copy of your welcome letter.
- If your child attends a private, independent, or parochial school you can visit a Family Welcome Center to receive a welcome letter.
