This session highlighted the work of the Office of Multilingual Learners (OML) and the Office of Special Education (SEO) in advancing equity and access for students across NYC Public Schools. Families learned about supports for English language learners, resources that promote language development and cultural inclusion, and ways to partner with schools to strengthen student achievement. The presentation also provided an overview of services and programs available for students with disabilities, along with guidance on navigating special education supports. Together, OML and SEO emphasized the importance of creating inclusive school environments that value diversity, ensure access to tailored resources, and empower all learners to thrive.
