Office of Family & Community Empowerment
On demand, Pre-recorded
Fall 2025
Oct 9- 9
This session highlighted the Office of Safety and Youth Development (OSYD) and the Office of Student and Community Wellness (OSCW), showcasing how each supports families and student success. Participants learned about OSYD’s workshops that help parents create safe and supportive school environments, recognize and address bullying or conflict, and access resources for crisis intervention and restorative practices. The session also introduced OSCW’s initiatives to increase student attendance and engagement, including strategies for family outreach, understanding barriers such as housing or transportation, and examples of community-based collaborations that improve participation. Both offices provide tools and guidance that empower families to play an active role in fostering safety, wellbeing, and academic success for students. Prefer another language?
