Health Education is a required subject for all students in New York City Public Schools. It teaches students important skills to care for their minds, bodies, and relationships. Parents and caregivers can help reinforce these lessons and connect them to their family’s values.
This video provides an overview of the Sexual Health unit in Health Education for students in grades 6-8[DC1] . Parents and caregivers will learn how to support their child’s learning at home and how to get involved in their school’s health education program.
