We are thrilled and deeply grateful for this monumental $500M in permanent education funding for New York City Public Schools. This will protect programming previously supported with temporary stimulus funds and will bolster key education programs that our students rely on.

From career readiness programs in our Office of Student Pathways to foundational literacy support through #NYCReads, we’re making sure all our students receive the best education our city has to offer.

The city is also investing $5M to boost efforts to maximize enrollment in 3-K and Pre-K programs to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our families across neighborhoods. An additional $25M will be invested within district schools to prioritize Pre-K students with special needs.
